Cliff Robinson, an early start in UConn's rise to power and long-running sixth man within the NBA, died on Saturday. He was 53 years old.
Robinson's death was confirmed by UConn and Portland Trail Blazers. No explanation for death has been given, although former Husky coach Jim Calhoun said Robinson had a stroke two and a half years ago.
Calhoun said, "It's really sad to listen to this because he was one among my kids, the guys, and therefore the guy I watched grow into a person ." "This isn't a simple thing."
