Health officials said on Sunday that 22 cases of coronavirus are reported in Maine.
Sunday's report brings the entire coronavirus cases in Maine to 4,512. Of those, 4,047 are confirmed positive, while 465 were classified as "probable cases," consistent with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
New cases are reported in Androskogen (1), Cumberland (4), Kennebec (1), Penobscot (1), York (8), Franklin (3), Lincoln (1), Oxford (1) and Somerset (1) showing country data. Information about where to report the extra case wasn't immediately available.
The state data showed that the agency revised the cumulative total for Saturday to 4,490, up from 4,489, which suggests that there's a rise of two from the previous day’s report. because the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention continues to research previously reported cases, some are identified as not being coronavirus, or coronavirus cases not involving Miners. they're far away from the state's cumulative total.
No new deaths were reported on Sunday, leading to the statewide price rising to 1,322. most deaths in Miners were over the age of 60.
So far, 420 Miners have hospitalized at some point thanks to COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. Of these, seven are currently in hospital, four of them in medical care and one on a ventilator.
Meanwhile, another 21 people have recovered from the Coronavirus, bringing the entire recoveries to three,910. this suggests that there are 470 active and "potential" cases within the state.
The majority of cases - 2,566 - are in Miners under the age of fifty, while more cases are reported in women than men, consistent with the Maine CDC.
As of Sunday, there have been 262,362 negative test results out of a complete of 268,733 test results. Maine CDC data shows that but 2.1 per cent of all tests came back positive.
Coronavirus has been the toughest hit in Cumberland County, with 2,187 cases reported and therefore the bulk of the virus deaths concentrated - 70 -. It's one among four counties - the opposite being Androskogen, Penobscot, and York, with 612, 229 and 830 cases respectively - where "community transmission" has been confirmed, consistent with the Maine CDC.
There are two criteria for establishing community transmission: a minimum of 10 confirmed cases and a minimum of 25 percent of those cases aren't associated with known cases or travel. This second condition isn't "met" within the other provinces.
Other cases are reported in Aroostook (38), Franklin (53), Hancock (45), Kennebec (188), Knox (29), Lincoln (36), Oxford (61), Piscataquis (8), Sagadahoc (60). Somerset (51), Waldo (69) and Washington (15) counties. Information about where one case was discovered wasn't immediately available on Sunday.
As of Sunday morning, the Coronavirus had infected 5962057 people altogether 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and therefore the US Virgin Islands, and had also caused the deaths of 182,785 people, consistent with the Johns Hopkins University of drugs.
