Hadid, 25, showed off her growing baby bump wearing flowing, see-through dresses during a series of shots shared to her Instagram on Wednesday, her first photoshoot as a mom-to-be and a rare public acknowledgement from the model of her pregnancy. 

"growing an angel," she wrote with a smiley face, adding she was "cherishing this time" and appreciated "all the love & well wishes." She captioned one photo with the date July 26, 2020, which seemed to be the date of the photoshoot. The baby is due in September, the model's mother, Yolanda Hadid, previously said.

The supermodel, who is expecting her first child with "One Direction" alum Zayn Malik, opened to her Instagram followers during a live video last month about why she had been relatively mum about her pregnancy throughout quarantine.

Hadid assured her curious fans that she's "all good and safe" which her pregnancy is "going great," despite the very fact that she's not showcasing her journey to motherhood to her 56 million Instagram followers. 

"Obviously, I feel tons of individuals are confused why I'm not sharing more, but like, I'm pregnant through an epidemic," Hadid said, adding, "my pregnancy isn't the foremost important thing happening within the world."

She said the coronavirus pandemic and Black Lives Matter movement (BLM) are more deserving of everyone's attention rather than her pregnancy.

"That's a reason that I felt that it isn't really something that I want to share, aside from with my family and friends. Obviously, tons of individuals have lost lives thanks to coronavirus that was within the beginning of quarantine and still happening," Hadid said. "And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM movement, and that I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that."

This would be the primary child for Hadid, 25, and Malik, 27, who has had an off-and-on romance. the 2 were first confirmed to be an item in February 2016, after the model appeared within the musician's music video for "Pillow Talk," from his first solo album following his 2015 split with One Direction. 

The two called it quits in 2018, both issuing statements on their breakup. Malik described their years-long relationship as "incredibly meaningful, loving and fun." Hadid said she was "forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons" that they had shared. She left the door open for a reconciliation, writing, "As for the longer term, whatever's meant to be will always be."

They have since reconciled: Hadid mentioned the singer as her "Valentine" last February" and shared an Instagram photo of herself and Malik kissing in July, with the caption "baby daddy ☺️"
